Whole place was fairly clean with amazing views; peaceful and stunning location along a stream. Well-appointed room with a LOVELY bed which I really enjoyed. The breakfast was savoury and substantial and offered plenty of good food. Location: the hotel was just next door to the valley.

Nestled down in the valley, just outside of a cozy village, this budget is a great location from which to explore Ullswater Lake, with plenty of great climbing and bouldering opportunities nearby. the rooms are cozy and unique with artistic features. the breakfast is healthy and filling with plenty of options to choose from.
The customer service can be lacking, with inconvenient policies like not being able to pay with card or cheque, and on occasion, customers have not been offered the use of functioning rooms when needed.

The hotel is located in a very peaceful location, perfect for a relaxing break. the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious and freshly made.
There were a few issues that detracted from our overall experience. Our room had some maintenance issues, including stuck windows and a live wasp nest.
